Silo Collapses On Farmer

PARADISE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- One man is dead after an accident on a Lancaster County farm.
Emergency crews were called out to a farm on Belmont Road in Paradise Township around 4 p.m. Monday to find a collapsed silo with a man beneath it.Michael Esh, 36, was killed after an old silo fell on top of him.
Esh and son were trying to tear down a silo that was hit by lightning a several weeks ago. The silo was secured by ropes on one side.As they were knocking it down, the remainder of the structure collapsed in, crushing Esh. Fire crews said Esh was trapped under five 80-pound blocks of concrete. He was dead when emergency crews arrived.
