Crews delivered the city's Christmas tree to Continental Square.

Jackson Crane donated its services to the annual project.

Workers said they had an easy time installing it due in part to part to the mild weather.

The blue spruce was actually last year's runner-up in the contest for York's holiday tree.

"The tree came from Carlisle Road in Dover. The Dietz family donated it. It's 37 years old. (I) guess it's about 35 feet tall and 30 feet around," said Dave Rudolph, with the York Public Works Department.

The tree lighting ceremony takes place Saturday, Dec. 4.

You can call the York Public Works Department for more details on the festivities.
